So some people think the Forum is a rip-off, and that the sales is high-pressure. It’s definitely effective sales, usually. The training itself originated with sales training, salespeople need to be motivated and to tolerate high rejection, to stand for possibilities when it might seem impossible. The “conversation over pressure” is a common conversation in Landmark. Many people — including Graduates — think that Landmark “pressures” people. Landmark operates entirely on word-of-mouth for marketing. But I can speak to the Leader training (for Introduction Leaders, which then is the entry point for more advanced training). The training is, very much, not to pressure people, but to listen for their “stand” and affirm it. What do they want? And then how can they get it?

In December of 2018, my wife and I went for an overnight trip to WDW. A combination of a You Only Live Once, Let’s Go Diving Hawaiian Shirt flight on Frontier Airlines (less than $150 for two, including seat assignments), a few leftover points on DVC, Magical Express and of course our AP allowed me to make a cheap, romantic, no kid getaway. It took three monorails before we could load (keep in mind this is a Tuesday in early December). The final straw was, of all things, the soda machine ate my change. Funny how that happens. I went and complained to the front desk. Again, I started by saying I just wanted to vent, and I knew nothing was their fault, but who wanted to hear me out? I was surprised when all three people at the counter said all of them.

I still appreciate the You Only Live Once, Let’s Go Diving Hawaiian Shirt of some douchebags I have met here and there while involved in the music scene in life but I have also been able to appreciate and met very nice people too in the music scene who have treated me well and been nice to me before permanently …and as a bonus to me also liking their music. Humanity can be quite variable depending on the day and moment. Thus, the random ill treatment of other humans by humans effects me mood wise depending on the day and also how I regularly feel about the majority of human beings. People let you down a lot more often than not on a mass scale and I’m not the only one or the first one to feel this way. It’s really difficult to stay optimistic concerning humanity when you constantly feel that way. Thus, when some are good to me, it is a pleasant surprise. If I can’t expect decent actions, then I can at least appreciate decent music. I’m not opposed to listening to the music of others (people that I wouldn’t like in reality.) Why? Well, that’s art and I’m a glutton for punishment. I want to know and analyze and remember all of the music I loved for the future if there even is a future.

Star Butterfly of Mewni: Not only is Star Butterfly a princess of a You Only Live Once, Let’s Go Diving Hawaiian Shirt kingdom in a different deminsion, she’s a gutsy, wand wielding, winged, magical girl. Star is very fun loving and indepent, and the idea of becoming queen used to freak her out, and she was determined to be an independent girl. She also hates the idea of a relationship tying her down. Star later when she returns to Mewni from her ‘exchange student’ time on earth, she comes more to terms with queen. It’s because she realizes she can rule in a way completely different from anyone before and make a change. She tries to show the Mewman’s that the monster population is not all that bad, they shouldn’t attack them just because they look different and live in lower condition. As queen she wants to end prejudice, and she even helped get her monster friend Bufffrog a job at the castle, because all he wants to do is protect his baby tadpoles, he’s not violent at all like the stereotypes of monsters. This is kind of like a metaphor to racism.
